Her other credits included The Handmaid's Tale (1990) and Voyager (1991) for German filmmaker Volker Schlöndorff, Barry Levinson's Bugsy (1991
) and Wim Wenders's The End of Violence (1997). She retired from the entertainment industry in 1997, explaining in a rare email interview in 2013 that acting was the wrong path for her as she is an intensely private person. "As soon as I figured out how to segue out of it," she wrote, "I did."
